Event Details

The Foundation for Community Encouragement (FCE) was founded by the late Dr. M. Scott Peck, author of The Road Less Travelled and The Different Drum, and eleven others committed to the vision of community.  Its mission was to teach and promote the value of authentic relationships and deeper communication between people regardless of the diversity of their culture, ethnicity, gender or beliefs. Dr. Peck believed that community is the pathway to peace, and through it, the salvation of the world.

During this conference we will honor the legacy of FCE and gather people who are committed and actively working toward building and maintaining community. We also welcome those who wish to learn what the principles of authentic community can bring to their lives and their relationships with others in this fragmented and rapidly changing world.

During our time together, we will explore the various journeys that we have traveled toward community and the wisdom that has been discovered along the way.  It is our hope that sharing this experience will encourage and challenge us to continue FCE’s Founding Dream “to make hope real again and the vision actually manifest in a world which has almost forgotten the glory of what it means to be human.”
